Selva Negra is an incredible coffee farm in the Matagalpa region of Nicaragua and a model of sustainable farming.  The coffee is shade grown and a significant portion of the property is reserved as conservation lands.  The farm is part of the Rainforest Alliance sustainable agriculture program and utilizes numerous innovative recycling and conservation techniques which not only help the environment, but promote self-sufficiency.  The coffee is a clean and classic cup, with a smooth finish and a mild nuttiness.
